Itineraries
DAY 1
Arrival in Leh | Leh Sightseeing Tour
Welcome to Leh! You will arrive at the airport and then get all packaged off to your hotel. Once you get to the hotel, you will get to experience a traditional welcome and receive a Katak shawl before you check in. After check-in, you will get a chance to experience Leh! After drop-off, you will head to the older 15th-century Tsemo Castle which provides wonderful views of the Leh valley. From there, you will witness the beauty of the Shanti Stupa, a bright-white domed construction, and admirable traditional architecture at the Leh Palace. After the palace, you will get a chance to walk around the Leh Market, where you will also have the opportunity to purchase great souvenirs, an amazing shirt or custom t-shirt print as a souvenir!
DAY 2
Journey to Sham Valley | Exploring the Mysteries and Wonders of Ladakh
Begin your scenic excursion to Sham Valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ladakh. There are views of the region from every angle. En route, stop by the Sangam (confluence), where you can see the Indus river meet the Zanskar river. Then, visit Magnetic Hill & see vehicles challenging the laws of gravity. After that, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, based in the harsh Himalayan surroundings. After that, you can visit SECMOL, an educational campus featured in the film 3 Idiots. Also, you could elect to go white water rafting before you are driven to your hotel.
DAY 3
Journey from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass | Exploring the Cold Desert
After check out, leave for Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass — one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Along the way, stop for a hot bowl of Maggi at the Khardungla Café then take in the fantastic views from Milkha Point (featured in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag). After that, see the ancient Diskit Monastery's Tibetan architecture & take a trip to the Hunder Sand Dunes to ride the double-humped Bactrian camel. After that, get driven to your campsite and make yourself comfortable in your tent for the night.
DAY 4
Journey from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso | Camping Under the Stars
After checking out today, set off on an incredible drive to the world-renowned Pangong Lake. You will reach this destination on the breathtaking Shyok River route, where the natural beauty of Ladakh’s high-altitude terrain will amaze you at every turn. On the way, you can stop for a refreshing break at the picturesque BRO Café, where the hospitality is second to none, and the views are fabulous. Later on arrival at Pangong, you will be amazed at the magical color shifts from deep blue when you first see the lake, to emerald green or golden later. Afterwards, settle in at your campsite and unwind.
DAY 5
Journey from Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La Pass
After check-out, embark on an exciting journey to Leh via the beautiful Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. On the way, you'll stop at the Chan La Baba Temple to pay your respects. You can also try paragliding over the beautiful Sakti Village—a lifetime experience with sweeping views of the Himalayas! Later in the day, you can visit the well-known Druk Padma Karpo School featured in 3 Idiots and take in the Tibetan architecture of the Thiksey Monastery. After arriving in Leh, arrive at your hotel to relax and unwind.
DAY 6
Departure Day
After checking out, climb aboard your transfer and feast your eyes on the beautiful landscapes of Ladakh as you drive back to Leh Airport. With fresh memories of high passes, ancient monasteries, and clear starlit nights, take a moment to say goodbye to this Himalayan paradise as you board your flight home and put an end to your incredible journey.
